Voter Registration Drive 2020
From February 4th to 13th, 2020, volunteers from Inspire to Be coordinated an effort at San Clemente High School encouraging students over 18 years old to register to vote, and those over 16 to preregister to vote. Volunteers traveled to different classrooms and helped these students register or preregister, and also set up a table where students could come and fill out the necessary forms. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped out!

Wounded Warriors Benefit Show 2020
On January 24th, 2020, Inspire to Be partnered up with the Wounded Warrior Project to bring the first annual Wounded Warriors Benefit Show, a variety show featuring acts from talented San Clemente High School students, to the San Clemente community. The event offered the opportunity for students from San Clemente High to showcase their talent to the people of San Clemente, and support our veterans and active duty service members: all proceeds from the show and its adjacent bake sale went directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. The show and bake sale were all staffed by volunteers, many of which were from Inspire to Be. A big thank you to everyone who participated, and we hope to see you again next year!

Orangewood Food Drive 2019
Inspire to Be started off the school year with the return of the Orangewood Food Drive. Volunteers once again paired up and collected supply donations from kind donors at our local Albertson's, which were then donated to the Orangewood Foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps provide health and wellness service to the region's foster youth. Inspire to Be would like to give many thanks, both to the Orangewood Foundation and to all of the volunteers who took part!
Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive 2019
For the second year in a row, our volunteers helped out our local Post Office load donated goods for the National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, in order to prepare for their transportation to food banks in need. Another enormous thank you from us here at Inspire to Be for all of the volunteers who helped out!

Love for Laura's House 2019
In March of 2019, Inspire to Be hosted the second year of "Love for Laura's House," a supply drive aimed to raise goods for Laura's House, Orange County's local domestic violence shelter. This year, our volunteers paired up and asked for customers' donations outside the Albertson's at Plaza Pacifica. Thanks to the generosity of those who donated, we received a large amount of goods, along with cash donations, which were all brought straight to Laura's House. A massive thank you to all of our volunteers who participated in this year's "Love for Laura's House!"

Orangewood Basket Drive 2018
In November 2018, we teamed up with the Orangewood Foundation, an Orange County-based organization which provides health and wellness services to foster youth, to put food on the table for foster youth and their families on Thanksgiving. Our volunteers asked generous patrons at Albertson's for donations of food and other kitchen supplies, and then gathered them into individual "baskets" for our recipients. We even hosted a friendly contest among our volunteers: whichever pair of volunteers raised the most goods would receive a small prize! In total, we collected 11 baskets and over 70 bags of extra food items, which were graciously received by the Orangewood Foundation in Santa Ana. A massive thank you to both the Orangewood Foundation and our dedicated club members who made this drive possible!

Love For Laura's House 2018
Laura’s House, San Clemente’s local domestic violence shelter and education center, is always in need of supplies, from women’s clothes to pots and pans to Regal movie tickets. The Inspire to Be community teamed up with Laura’s House to gather the household supplies and other materials they need most by hosting a supply drive, called “Love for Laura’s House.” We contacted the administrators of local and major businesses in order to collect monetary and material donations, all of which went straight to Laura’s House. We hoped to collect 100 items and deliver these, along with freshly baked goods, to shelter residents by March 14, but in the end we were able to obtain nearly $5,000 worth of donations, both material and monetary. We would like to thank all of the businesses who participated in our supply drive, and the volunteers who helped make "Love for Laura's House" a reality!

Thanksgiving Food Drive
Last November, Inspire to Be worked in tandem with the FAM Club and Key Club at San Clemente High School to put on a Thanksgiving Food Drive for Family Assistance Ministries. Our volunteers placed collection boxes in every classroom at San Clemente High School, and we invited all students to donate canned and preservable goods to their first period class. The class that accumulated the most goods won a donut party, and the second and third place winners received Dum-Dums. After two weeks, volunteers collected and transported 393 pounds of goods--almost 500 items--to Family Assistance Ministries!
